Thumbs up for Golfsmith

I just wanted to share a positive experience I have had with Golfsmith. I used equipment guy as I tend to flip clubs a fair bit the depreciation of new stuff is a killer. I saw a 910 used on the Golfsmith site and I picked it  up, when I got to my door everything looked good except it had price tag on it was $55 less then I paid. Called Golfsmith and let them know what happened and without even asking they credited back my card for $55. So now I have very new 910 for $220. Not bad at all and it was great they took care of the credit with no fuss.

I know they get bashed bit on the net from time to time so I wanted to share something positive.

Good stuff. I like Golfsmith and find that if you contact them about an unsavory experience you had with them they will help to make it a good one. My only complaint and it is minor is there pre-owned clubs are a bit high in price.

Over the years, I've bought a bunch of components and supplies from them.  The quality was always very good.  I agree about the price of used clubs, though. I was in the market for a good, used driver.  I settled on the Titleist 909 D3, as the 910's had just come out, and I had good luck with the 905.  I hit several used drivers at the local Golfsmith store, with a launch monitor.  The sales guy spent quite a bit of time with me trying to determine which shaft would work better for my swing by comparing launch angles, spin rates, etc.  When it came time to buy, I asked the price of the well-used D3.  I think he quoted around $199.  I said I would pay $150 at the most.  He checked their store computer (?) which said the absolute lowest price they could sell it for was $186, so I had to say no thanks.  I went on EBay and bought a like-new D3 for $150 a week later.  But the overall experience was just fine, no pressure, no hassle.  I'll go back again when I need golf stuff.

I have never had a problem there and they have gone out of there way to help me out. I bought some wedges there and I thought they were under their guarantee program, but they weren't. A quick call to the customer service line straightened it out and even though I had some fault in assuming , they stepped up and did more than they needed to and resolved the situation to exceed my expectations. You can't beat that!

Golfsmith is awesome.  I bought my set of MP-32s from them used for about 1/2 of what they cost new.  They had a bit of rust in the grooves and some slight wear on the PW and 9-I but other than that, theyre like new.

I wouldnt hesitate to buy from Golfsmith in the future.
