Guess it depends on what you are looking to get out of it.  I went to one years ago in TX, and it was ok.  You get to check out different vendors' gear, hit some simulators, get some free advice, enter drawings for free stuff, and basically get jacked up for the upcoming season (for those of us in MA / NE).  It's better than looking at snow.  My $.02

I have only been to two golf expo's and the prices aren't that great usually a slight discount but nothing major. The experience is pretty cool lots of drawings, freebies, and chances to hit on a simulator.

If you are talking about the one at the Seaport World Trade Centers, I went last year. It was decent. Way way way too many vacation vendors set up, and a few of the big OEMs were missing (Titleist, Mizuno).

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

Went to one in Seattle recently, it was my first. All in all not toooo bad but not awesome. Aside from Demo row where you could hit all the new stuff, it was basically a ton of resort vacation booths and assorted random crap. The product that was there wasn't priced any better then you can find everyday and some of the older used stuff was priced like they were on crack. It was like 12 bucks to go hit a bunch of stuff and to think about golf on a really windy cold day.

I went today and got a new burner 2.0 combo set and two taylormade xft wedges all for 470. Got a 25% discount because my dad's the cfo at seaport where it's held :). Cool experience, there's one side of the convention center where it's held that is a long stretch of driving range, quite interesting.

    • That’s totally fair. I have my chipping issues which make my putter more playable in that situation. Really just confirming that while not optimal there comes a point where if you need to use a putter (for whatever reason) then the optimal mechanics breaks down. I know I’m a sample of one. 😂
    • Day 329 - 2025-08-26 Hit 24 balls before lessons and JEP Summer Session. With the MP-33. 🙂 Put an undersized grip on my VR Pro accidentally.
    • Well, that's not really a putt at that point. You could easily choose to putt that up the slope with a hybrid or something.
    • Day 15 (August 26).  I missed practice yesterday, but otherwise had a 14-day streak going into it.  Somehow, some of my posts for this appear in my profile but I can't seem to see them (I hope I didn't break any rules that would cause them to be removed).  I am hoping I'll be able to keep doing some practice while I'm out to regain the red text.  Context:  am on vacation, this week with friends.  What was today's actual practice? Today, a friend and I decided to go to TopGolf;  it was kind of like being at the range with someone else's clubs.  And that's ultimately how I was able to use it for practice:  I don't practice choosing a target, lining up to it, and then hitting often enough;  that's what this place seems to be about.  In any case, we were there for 90 minutes, I was hitting for maybe 35-40 minutes of that time, and I did pick a target each time.
    • Day 2 - (26 Aug 25) - Church men’s golf nine hole Captains choice.  Had grandson as part of our group - was a blast watching him drill the putts.  Love these no pressure sessions - great for going outside the norm on club selection.
