I thought I would start a general discussion thread for those of us who have the Student version of Analyzr. This is a place to talk about how your using it, cameras, good Youtube sample videos, etc.

I'll start it off by saying I was a beta tester so I have had some time to play with it. I live in New England so there is still snow on the ground and I haven't been able to get videos on a range but I have videoed my swing in the driveway and have been comparing them to downloaded Youtube videos of various pros. Between all the great information on The Sand Trap and this application I have already seen improvements in my swing – at least from a practice standpoint. I'm really looking forward to getting out and actually hitting some balls to see the results.

I don't have a fancy camera and have been using my iPhone 4 until I find something better. But even with the iPhone I get acceptable videos. I have an inexpensive tripod to hold it and use the iSwing app to record. The reason I use this app is because it has an audio countdown for starting the recording and automatically records short clips. This allows me to do it all myself without utilizing a camera man. I'm planning on taking my iPhone, Macbook Pro and Analyzr to the range and get instant feedback during practice sessions. While the ability to video and analyze are not new, being able to do it as an individual so cost effectively, and with great quality, is a breakthrough. I'm already considering Analyzr one of the best swing aids I've ever used. The low cost of this great app is a bonus.

I'd like to point out that if you have a mac book you have imovie and can edit video and edit it to play in slow motion.  I upgraded to imovie 11 recently for $14.99.  It is worth it.  Check out my swing thread to see what I did.  The video is taken at 60fps and slowed in imovie.

Good luck video is a great tool.
