Hey all, I'm a member at the local Golftec here in the Indy area and really like their setup because you can basically take a swing and it records you automatically on the monitor right in front of you. And then you can play it back in slow motion by pressing a BIG button right below the monitor sitting on the floor.

My question is, I'd like to get a set up like this at my house (in my basement) but don't know who makes the golftec system OR if there is a better type of variation of this from some other company that specializes in this type of thing for a house.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be so much appreciated. Thank you!

There are lots of cameras now that take high frame rates.  Check Casio for cost effective examples.

You can then look at the video on the screen on the camera or use a laptop.  I use a Kodak zi8 which was good when I bought it but I think casio is a better choice now.

Been searching for such a solution, too - but found none.

On our side of the pond we have http://www.scope-systems.de installed at several ranges. If you find a solution that works with a ordinary video cam, I am happy to hear about it!

Thanks Bill. But the problem with that is after every single swing, I've got to walk over to the camera. Rewind it, and then look at it. With Golftec's setup, after every single swing, it records it, and then auto-rewinds to the exact point of the beginning of the swing. Then allows me to press a button and re-watch it in slow motion OR frame by frame. And the monitor is right on the floor in front of me. I was looking more for a system like that. You can also draw swing plane lines etc, right on the screen.

If you want to spend several thousand dollars, I'm sure you could get something built that would do just what you're asking.

Or you can spend $200 to $300 and walk four steps to your camera... :-P

I'm not sure I see the point. When I'm practicing, not only do I not record every swing, but I like to take the time between swings to think about what I'm seeing, try different sensations, practice some drills, etc. If you're making full swings and want to review them every time, I'd suggest you're not practicing properly.
