OK here's a challenge for you guys:

http://www.yonex.co.uk/golf/Product.aspx?ProdID=895

No bounce info on the site. I've tried searching various other places but there seems to be no info. I've also just emailed the manufacturer for the information but I figured I'd throw it out there for you guys too.

I'm looking for the bounce for my PW, SW and AW.

it will probably be some where around 8 degrees.  type everything you can think off into google and your bound to find it somewhere.  someone probly had the same problem.

I'm normally pretty good with searches but have had no luck. I've searched for:

yonex vms irons bounce

vms irons bounce

"yonex vms" irons bounce

"vms irons" bounce

"yonex vms irons" bounce

calculating bounce

calculating bounce golf

calculating golf club bounce

how to calculate bounce

how to calculate golf club bounce

how is bounce calculated

how is golf club bounce calculated

Each of those I've trawled through pages and pages of results and checked anything that even resembles a possible match.

I think the difficulty is that Yonex aren't a huge brand, VMS irons are relatively new and the concept of bounce is normally skirted over with a cursory description rather than how it's calculated.

Thanks for the reply though.

I even found the Yonex EU version of their online catalog, http://www.yonex.com/golf/webcatalog2011_eu/#page=45 and I don't see where they list bounce for ANY club!  Have you emailed or tried to contact them direct and ask?

Otherwise, the majority of gap wedges I've seen can be anywhere between 4° and 6°.

Yeah as soon as I realised there were no bounce stats I chucked them an email asking what the wedges would be. It's no big deal not knowing but I'm curious as to the difference between them and my Vokeys (50.08, 54.11 and 58.08) Next step may be profile photos of the Vokeys compared to Yonex.

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
