Hey Guys,

I was just wondering how to tell if clubs are fake or if they are actually the real deal?  I am going to go look at this and was just wondering how I would be able to tell.   To me this seems like a good deal.

What do you guys think??

Looks like a good deal to me.  The ad you linked to only contains stock pictures so it is really hard to tell from that.  See if there is any way that you can get the serial numbers from the clubs before you buy so that you can verify them with TaylorMade...  I don't see any reason that the seller wouldn't want to give you that information unless they were fakes.

I only ask because it seems like one of those "to good to be true" deals on craigslist.  I did not know if anyone had any experience in fake clubs in knowing how to tell the difference if I go and look at them.  I am still waiting for his reply on sending me actual photos of the clubs.

No easy way to tell, but the pricing isn't so low that I immediately thought they were fake.  I've seen the driver for $150, and the Rescue for $99.  I'd check it out, just looks like a good deal on last years gear.

    • Yeah, I think I misread that part. I read "in front of" and kinda skipped the rest.
    • We just completed our winter league (Jan 1 - April 30)  Our scoring was simple.  We used the 18 birdies app.  You get 1 point for every member of the league you beat head to head in an 18 hole round (no handicap).  You also get a point for completing the round.  Therefore 4 members play a round- winner of the round gets 4 points, runner-up gets 3, third gets 2, and last gets 1.  Points accumulate throughout the season.  You can play as many times as you want. Our winner accumulated 110 points while second was 102 and third was 97.  We had a total of 16 members in the league.  No issues whatsoever.  All about fun.
