I took the plunge last night and ordered a set of new irons.  I have never been custom fit for clubs,so I figured that this was the year to do it.  I got the Titleist AP2's half inch over and 1 degree upright.

Has anyone here had good or bad luck with custom fit clubs, or getting new irons right at the beginning of the year?

What do you mean?

You say that you've been custom fit and have ordered the irons.

Presumably they will be set up to suit you.

I'm not quite sure what good or bad "luck" you could be wondering about.

The clubfitter would be annoyed if you hit them really well and you told him you were "lucky". :-)

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I got fit this year for the first time and it's produced great results.  My scores are coming around, but the ability to consistently make proper contact is awesome.  Mine are 2 degrees upright and its made a world of difference.
