Watching Rory on 10,11,12 was painful. seems like a nice kid and took it as well as could be asked but damn that was bad. i kept thinking about Van Daveld (that can't be spelled right)...i think this was worse as he still had 6 holes left after the meltdown.

3W- Taylor Made R11S
3H Rocketballz
4I-PW- MP-59

Jason Day almost had it as well. Congrats to the winner but I really don't even know the guy.  That being said, I think this was a very exciting Masters event!  One of the best I have watched. Some what uneventful, though.

The good news is Jason and Rory can certainly give the old guys the jitters and Tiger is back!

I was rooting for Rory and, being a South African myself, Schwartzel. Watching Rory's collapse was almost too painful to bear. Feel for the guy but there's no question he will have many more chances in his career and it'll go his way.

I felt Tiger played really well and looks back to his former self. however, I am not a fan of Tiger at all and was rooting CHarl all the way.

I honestly feel like CHarl played an absolute brilliant round of golf. He's been very successful on our Sunshine Tour here at home and he's spoken about very highly and is Ernie Els's main protege and great things were always expected of him.

But he played an absolutely sublime final round and totally deserves this victory. So thrilled for the guy. South African golf staking a claim!! :)

Rory's collapse will only make his first Masters win even more special. And I think that will happen before he turns 25.

tiger will always be the man. he knows it and the other players know it.

Not sure the other players "know it" as well as they did a couple of years ago and am pretty certain Tiger doesn't know it as well as he once did.  But he is a talent to be reckoned with for sure and I suspect he'll win his share in the future.

ok, so they may see some vulnerability in tiger, but that front 9 on sunday was just like when he was dominating a few years back. I can for sure see tiger winning some tourney's this year.

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
