I just can't find a fix.

I constantly think about a loose grip when I'm at the range, but even after the first swing, and nice shot I can feel my "Deathgrip" on the club after follow through.  I may need hypnosis. lol

Does anybody have a drill to teach me to stop squeezing like I'm trying to hit a homerun!  It's hard to break all those years of baseball and no golf.

I'm using the Vardon grip and my grips are the correct size.  It's all in my head.  Thanks.

You're just going ot have to get a swing thought that works for you and work at it on the practice tee.

I struggle with this from time to time. Everyone is different, but here's what works for me. I use a little waggle before I take the club away. When I waggle it, I really try to feel the weight of the clubhead which I can only feel when I have the proper grip pressure. So, that for me at least, is a little mental cue. I played hockey all my life, so from time to time I get the same mentality of trying to "hit" the ball instead of swinging. So, I also try to make sure I just make swing with good tempo.

Ive got the same problem, but recently I was told by one of the Taylor Made guys that came to a course here that I should try to imagine holding my wifes hand. So far it has worked and im hitting a better driver. I just tell myself before each drive soft grip same speed back same speed forward...

Good luck
