I play for my high school team and about a week ago my coach pointed out that I decelerate through my swing which was leading to my inconsistent ball striking, the next round I tried to work on accelerating through the ball and was making much cleaner contact but i started to hit a bit of a hook with my irons. How can I adjust to the faster forward swing and still keep a straight ball flight.

Thanks in advance.

Swing the hands faster without increasing the rate of which the clubface close. Keep the clubface square to the plane longer. Don't try to release or roll or flip anything.

I would just focus on accelerating to a spot an inch or two in front of the ball. This will help adjust your timing so that your hands don't release to early. Thinking a lot about hand action in the middle of your season will keep you from just hitting shots and playing while competing. After school golf is over you may want to work on your hand action.
