Heard the news today, Tiger is going to be a poppa! See story on the Golf Channel http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...0&select;=21462
How will this affect his game? We all thought getting married would slow him down, That had no effect. We thought losing his Dad would slow him down, well it did only for the Open. Having a kid, now that changes things. You know he is going to want to be there for everything in his kids life, like Earl was for him. Only difference is Earl wasn't on the PGA Tour.
I hope this dosen't slow him down or take him away from the game but I wouldn't blame him if it did. I have a son and I can't stand to be away from him for a day.
Tiger will skip the first tournament of 07 to be with wife.
I hope its not born during the Memorial, I just bought 2 week long badges!!

I think Tiger has enough money to be able to fly his kid just about everywhere. I don't foresee this changing his ability to win very much.

I think most pro golfers have said having kids was no problem in terms of scheduling until they start school as they can travel with them to that point. Even after then, with Tiger playing 0nly 17-20 events in a year, it will be less difficult for him that it would be for some guy grinding to stay in the top 125. As far as pro athletes and family are concerned, I think golfers probably have the greatest flexibility because they are not traveling with their team, having team meeting etc... Where it might affect Tiger is in his practicing while at home, but then again he is up at 5 AM anyways

Hey, I'm up and about at 0500 too... Why can't I hit 'em like Tiger? *LOL*

IMHO, having a child won't hurt Tiger's game. If anything, his newborn will inspire him to do even greater things on and off the course.

You're probably right, assuming the baby

is healthy and everything goes well. Lets all say a prayer the baby is healthy. And could you also pray it doesn't come before or during the Memorial Tournament, I just bought 2 badges for the week! lol
