I'm trying to see what driver I should get. Its between the R11 and the Burner superfast 2.0. I know what both of them offer but I dont know if getting the r11 is worth the more money im gonna spend on it. Any thoughts?

Hit them.  Doesn't matter what anybody thinks other than you.  I knew immediatley that  the 2.0 was the one and the R11 was not for me.  You may be the opposite.

Give them both a decent hit then you can judge whether it's worth the extra money to get the R11 if thats the one you prefer. Everyones going to have their own personal preference, what works for one won't work for another. Personally il take recommendations from people on clubs to try out but would never buy anything without trying it first.

Personally I love the SF2.0, but I also have a swing speed of 112mph. It's totally preference hit as many balls as you can with them and use your best judgement on which suits your needs better.

With the recent price drops this might be a relevant thread again so I figured I would post my driver shopping experience today.

I don't swing very hard (around 83 on average and maybe upper 80's if the stars align with my swing, full turn, good release etc.).  Also I am 5' 4" so longer clubs tend to scare me, lol

I hit the following on 2 different monitors today.

R11 - 12*; closed setting on sole plate; 1 deg of loft added  - My average distance was about 187 - longest 210

SF 2.0 HT 13*  - I was seeing about 203 average and even got a couple out to 230 when I made perfect contact.

230 is very very long for me.

I normally get all my shafts cut down to 43"-44" range but not this time. I will just grip down so I am not fooling around and messing up the swing weight.  If I get it to the course and it becomes a slice monster I will probably have it reshafted with a shaft that plays a little shorter.

    • You’ve yet to propose anything else. And yet it was, and the rules tell you how to deal with it. Your question has been answered. The Committee can declare them GUR. I disagree with your assessment of common sense. 😀 And yet they didn’t really change this one. Looks like this is about wrapped up? “That Rule is So Unfair!” A Rules Geek’s Generalized Guide to Hot Takes and Overreactions | Rules Geeks I apologize for the length of this post. • When you are penalized for hitting into the sand trap the penalty is having to hit it out of the sand, not out of three inches of water. A sand trap is not the same as a water hazard. A sand trap is not supposed to be under water. It is a unique condition caused  by weather and poor drainage. Most local leagues like ours allow the free drop in this type of situation, as long as there is no area in the bunker to legally drop. This is what I’m talking about, sometimes the official rules of golf don’t align with common sense. That’s why they are finally starting to change them. For example, when wind blows your ball off the green. That was a stupid rule. People being able to call the tv network to say they saw a players ball move. That was a stupid rule. I’m just saying, these are rules made up a long time ago, and it’s time to modernize them.
    • Consider it another way: normally, it's a two-stroke penalty to move your ball out of a bunker (unplayable). The ACC reduces it to just one.
    • No, hitting into a hazard that is supposed to be avoided and is designed to be penalizing is not the same as hitting it into the middle of the fairway.   You are penalized because you hit it into a hazard. Based on your logic let's say you hit it into a red staked penalty area and you could normally play it but it's in temporary casual water from rain. Would you expect a free drop from there too??
    • They could have declared it GUR, sure. It is. It's temporary water, and as I said before, an abnormal course condition (ACC). That's what rule 16 is about — ACCs. No, a bunker ≠ the middle of the fairway. You are penalized because you hit it into a bunker. As for the rest… let's stick to the topic. Yep.
