Just received my new clubs and I'm pretty stoked. Just need the weather to be better so I can use them. I ended up picking up a brand new Diablo set of Irons 5-PW, Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 3 hybrid, and 4 hybrid on ebay for around $523.29. Then sold my old Hawkeye VFT's for $220 and my old woods for $120. Needless to say I didn't have to pay much and got a brand new set of clubs I love.

Are they legit??  At that price, for all you got, I would be concerned if they were all sold as new.  I mean, a "like-new" set of the Diablo 5-PW irons from Callaway pre-owned sells for $500.......

That price does sound suspect and if they are fake, before you say oh well and keep them anyway Id remind you that many golf shops refuse to work on counterfeits and a rep from Callaway could even take them if they were brought to him for work or fitting.

It could be a great deal, but just looking quick at TGW.com $400 for the whole package seems a bit too low.

Diablo Edge Driver - $149

Woods - $129 each

Hybrids / Iron Combo Set - $599 (steel) or $699 (graphite)

They are all brand new not a scratch on them and came in factory wrapped packaging. I got them in yesterday afternoon and took them to my local pro shop right away to get them all authenticated. Every club came back as genuine. All were bought from different sources, irons from one place, driver from another, 3 wood from yet another and so on. I just kept shopping around until I found the best price. Each club had its on serial # except the iron set had one serial # for the whole set. All numbers checked out.

My bad I just added everything up and realized I spent a little more then I thought. Everything totaled $523.29 when added up. Accidently left a couple clubs out when adding this morning. LOL.

    • I think part of it is there hasn't been enough conclusive studies specific to golf regarding block studies. Maybe the full swing, you can't study it because it is too complicated and to some degree it will fall into variable or random.
    • Going one step stiffer in the golf shaft, of the same make and model will have minor impact on the launch conditions. It can matter, it is a way to dial in some launch conditions if you are a few hundred RPM off or the angle isn't there. Same with moving weights around. A clubhead weights 200-220 grams. You are shifting a fraction of that to move the CG slightly. It can matter, again its more about fine tuning. As for grip size, this is more personal preference. Grip size doesn't have any impact on the swing out of personal preference.  You are going to spend hundreds of dollars for fine tuning. Which if you want, go for it. I am not sure what your level of play is, or what your goals in golf are.  In the end, the golf swing matters more than the equipment. If you want to go to that level of detail, go find a good golf club fitter. ChatGPT is going to surface scan reddit, golfwrx, and other popular websites for the answers. Basically, it is all opinionated gibberish at this point.

    • Well the first advice I would give is to look at your swing. If you are swing out to in, it may be difficult to fix your misses with club adjustments. They would only be a bandaid. I use midsize grips because I have long fingers and I feel I have more control with them. I also have tinkered with shaft length and swing weight. But I know when I miss it’s because my swing was off.
