Hello, everyone! My name is Wes.

My uncle is a PGA teaching pro and owner of a golf course. I've been allowed to golf free all my life, but have never taken advantage of it until now (I'm 21).

I have no idea what my handicap is, but I recently shot in the 130s... on a par 68, 4500-ish yard course... but hey. It's always more fun when you have 50 shots to knock off instead of spending a year to knock off one or two, right?

I can't wait. :D

Hey Wes,

How are you doing,? I am right out of Herriman, Utah. I am also 21 years old and work in Sandy.  That's so awesome that your uncle is a PGA pro, very jealous of the free golf. haha. .  I am actually just getting into golf heavily this year too and I am VERY excited.  I usually just play by myself at Local courses around here, like Glenmoor and Riverbend, and Muligans.  What course do you usually play?

Ah, man, you're all around me! My uncle owns Schneiter's Pebblebrook on 1300 E. I also work there. Hit me with a PM and we'll meet up!

Oh man, Sandy Ut. I learned to golf at Willow Creek CC back in the early and mid 60's. After watching the Nation Wide tour on tv there last year it didn't look much like the course I remember.

The munies here in Portland Or are good and reasonablly priced, but the munies on the Wasatch front are better and lower priced.

Heck, I could almost be envious.

Yeah, we've got a few groundsworkers at Pebblebrook who also work at Willow Creek. Lovely course, I'm sure, but way too rich for my blood.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
