I blanked out my index for that reason. I don't want someone to think I don't have enough game to criticize Webb Simpson's pace of play and I don't want someone to think I'm too good to appreciate a bout of the shanks.

I agree completely with this.  Unfortunately my mouth sometimes gets ahead of my brain and I post anyway.

I do it quite often as well.  It is usally because when I go back and read it, there are parts that might offend someone or might be a little confusing with the way it was written.  By the time I write it, go back and read it, and decide that it wasn't written the way I want it, I don't feel like typing it again. The only time I re-type it is when there is a point that I really want to make and it helps the conversation.  Otherwise, I just forget it.

My initial feelings on some topics end up being based on emotion rather than technical factors and that is why I end up deleting most of them.

The majority of times I start to write something in response to a post result in second thoughts, and I just delete it and forget about it.  The reason is (I think) describing something in words in response to something I have not actually seen in person is a lot harder than it may sound.  Plus, I could give two or three versions of a swing thought or pattern and who is to know which might be the best for the person asking questions?  There is also the possibility I would not know what I am talking about, and who would know?  Then there are the cases where we have a clash of tradition versus change, and I start to write out a traditional view of how something should play out... only to stop and realize a lot of people are no longer interested in the traditions of the game, nor do they want to hear about them from some unknown on the internet.

If you were a mathematician I think you might describe my actual posts as a decending hyperbolic function, but my "almost posts" to be about the same constant flat line.  Like an old fish, I rise to the bait a lot, but don't actually take a bite nearly as often.
