So, something I've been wondering for a long time, but have unable to find any answer anywhere: How should the club head be tilted when I line up my driver? I've seen guys tilt it clear back so the face is pointed up in the air, guys lay it the exact opposite (which almost looks like it angles it to the left) and in between.  There has to be an optimal setting. I've noticed on my superfast burner theres a couple arrow looking things on the grip, could that be where my thumbs are supposed to be pointing? Any help here?

If you play it forward in your stance and catch it on the upswing, some (many?) people recommend you start the driver centered in your swing to remind you to bottom out there again. So the shaft would extend straight out from your body to a clubface a couple inches behind the ball. The clubface would be square to the target line, so it would not be leaned backwards or forwards. I personally opt for this. Some people like to line their driver up directly behind the ball even if they tee it up far ahead in their stance. They generally tend to lean the shaft back a little, like it would look at impact if they were hitting up. Doing this can promote starting from and open torso position, however, thus promoting a slice, so use it with caution.

I'm one of those people that out the club close to the ball on driver. And yes I noticed more often that my shoulders are open when I do this and I had to compensate it some how to square it back. I tried the set the driver in the middle of the sternum and start the back swing and what I noticed is that I tend to pull or duck hook it when I do that. I don't know why and perhaps it's a mental thing. But yea, more explanation about this would be nice, I also made a thread about the driver face angle illusion.
