A "WOW" guy on the Nationwide tour is Pablo Martin or Bubba Dickerson...

Bubba Dickerson is the 2001 US Amatuer, 2001 Western Amatuer and 2nd at the Pub Links...pretty WOW to me?

Pablo Martin was one of the best Collegiate players in many years.  He was the Haskins Award winner in 2006...a few past Haskins award winners are Bill Haas, Hunter Mahan, Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald, Matt Kuchar, Stewart Cink, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods.  Guy is a stud!

Anyone familiar with college golf can see alot of familiar names on the roster.  Its a developmental tour, some guys need some time to adjust to the tour life.  Their game is there, they just have to learn how to manage the game and the lifestyle with the travel, etc.

Casey just did a segment on Morning Drive on the Golf Channel. They will repeat the show in a few minutes (9 AM EDT), if you can watch it.

After his t-10 at the US Open, I think he had the choice to either play in the Travelers (PGA tour) or the NW Wichita Open.  Standing 10th on this years NW $ list, he opted for the latter and currently stands t4 after going 63-70.

My guess is that he would have choose to play on the big tour, but any money he won there would not bolster his NW earnings in terms of trying to make the top 25 to get his tour card for next year.  This is why I think they should have some sort of combined points list for the PGA and NW tour so that cross over players can get credit for good finishes on the regular tour.

Casey won almost 600 K last season leading the Web.com tour with 433 K (including 2 wins) plus a t10 at the US Open.

He has only had 1 top 25 finish (t15) this year on the PGA Tour with only 6 cuts made in 14 events, but has a chance to make some noise today at the Players as he is only 1 shot back after finishing round 3 with 3 straight birdies.

David Lingmerth, who is tied to the lead with Tiger and Sergio was #10 on the Web.com $ list last year and has virtually locked up his PGA Tour card for next year once he adds today's $ to the playoff loss he had in January.

Just shows you how many guys can be successful on the PGA Tour when they are hot but can struggle to even stay on the Web.com Tour when their games are a bit off.

      Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.

      As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
