Hi all,

New to the site and relatively new to the game but enjoying getting to grips with it.

My driving was the one consistent aspect since taking up the game until lately. I'm still consistent but with a horrific dip and a substantial loss of distance. Has anyone advice on what might be contributing to this. I understand like other posters that it can be hard to diagnose without video but I thought the cause of this "dip" on the ball flight might be something obvious.

I'll upload a video shortly but just wondering if there's anything I can try the next time I hit the range.

Thanks!

Without knowing what you did before and what you do now, it is hard to pin point.

However, one thing that I noticed for myself is that the distance loss usually comes from changing your swing based on full rotation of you shoulder to simply swing your club with your arms.

When you make a full shoulder turn and use the lower body to lead the swing, it generates a lot more speed than if you are swinging mostly with your arms.  Make sure that on your back swing, your left shoulder (for right handed player) gets underneath your chin to ensure full rotation of your shoulder.

Again, that is based only on my own experience.

This is a good mystery.  Post a video and we will take a look.  Remember to throw anyone who gives you a helpful reply a scooby snack.  Zoinks!
