I grew up hitting blades and finally bought my first non-blade after I graduated college. That being said, I have since gone back to a blade. I have always loved the feel, feedback and challenge associated with a true blade iron. I am fully aware there are a lot of irons on the market these days which are a lot easier to hit than a blade, but I still like to stick to my blades. To me it's like swinging a wood bat vs. an aluminum bat...it just feels better in my hands.

I've been playing the MP-57's for 4 years. I don't hit the mid irons all that well, so I'm actually going to the AP1's...They are also so much easier to hit out of thick rough.

The only downfall is with the 8-PW...you definitely lose some feel with a thicker CB like the AP1s...Also lose some control I believe.

I've been playing the Nike CCI forged irons since I started approx 3 years ago. I think they will fit into the cavity back category, they are very similar to the Mizuno MP 58.

As of right now i am playing the Mizuno MP-63, so i would say muscleback? Smoothest irons I have ever hit!

 MP-63 3-PW DG S300

I'm currently play'n a combo set of MP 60 & 32's. I want to get a combo set of MP 62 & 68's. I like a cb in the long irons cuz I get a little more distance and they are more consistent than my long iron mb's.

    • I'm 22 days and 6 hours away from playing the Cradle.  Therefore I'm going with the Par 3 course!

    • Interesting for sure. I have actually had my instructor try to get me to get the elbow in front as well. That actually spiraled me into the slump I am currently working out of. I would disagree with him saying that lowering the arm might be the simplest and easiest move in golf 😄. I am having SOO much trouble making that move instead of my hands immediately moving toward the ball from the top. It's like my mind has 0 patience at the top and tells me to GO GO GO.
