I plan to reshaft my Nike Ignite driver with Grafalloy Blue R Flex. I have no idea about my swing speed, but I can get around 230 yards off the tee. Pretty average...

Any one tried this shaft on your driver ? How do you like it?

Lotta people love that shaft, I've heard it plays a lot stiffer than most others. When I was looking, if I was a stiff in a V2 or an NV, I was a regular in a Graffaloy Blue. Don't hear a lot of bad things about it though.

yeah they play stiffer..I had it in my Callaway GBB 415 II..and with the bore through hosel..even more stiffer at the tip.

The only thing I can say about it is that it felt "boardy".

take the time with a club fitter to get fitted on a launch monitor, the fitter has to see your swing speed tempo and angle of attack. These are things that have the most out come on your ball flight. Just picking a shaft because joe smith loves it, isnt a way to buy a shaft for your driver..

can't agree more with aquacooled...honestly, reshafting is extremely important, but if you don't spend the time to find the right one, you're just moving backwards and not getting the added playability you're looking for.

You can get a Blue shaft on eBay for cheap, simply becuase it's big brother, the ProLaunch Blue (higher trajectory, lower torque...i think) sells more and is just plain a better shaft.

Either way, it's all feel, and everyone plays differently, with different angles of attact, swing speed, and flex motions. Go get fit before you make a rash judgement with the regular shaft. Hope this helps!

I play the grafalloy proto comp NT and it is a great shaft. I guess you could consider it the model above the prolaunch. The blue is tip stiff which doesn't match with a lot of amateurs who are already using shafts too stiff for them. Either way as others have said get on a swing monitor and get fitted.

I have the Graf Blue in my Titleist 905T and have generally enjoyed it. It produces a good ball flight. I've found the club to be a little boardy though and have enjoyed the feel of UST's V2 more. The guys are right though, the best way to know for sure is to get properly fitted. Otherwise its just a crap shoot.

Good luck.

Forget the blue, try the Pro Launch Blue! It added about 15 to 20 yards to my tee shots. It launches the ball higher but keeps the spin low. I used to hit those tip stiff shafts like the Harrison boron tour or the Fujikuras, but the Pro Launch is awesome.

Of course, if you already hit the ball too high and want to lower it a bit, the Blue is the way to go. Another one to try for lower launch is the new Pro Launch Red...

My 2 cents...
