Hey guys Just finished a round where I hit 4 total fairways and 6 greens in regulation with 33 putts and shot 80. Actually had a 20 footer for 79 but didnt make that. Now pretty happy with an 80 with those stats but this is slowly becoming the norm for me. Every round is a complete and total battle. I have to get up and down from all over the place. Luckily I can do it for the most part, but I envy the guys that just hit the ball down the middle and hit it on the green and 2 putt. That seems like it would be much easier. The only satisfaction i get is when I am playing with random people and they say how the hell did you par after that drive, my normal playing partners are just getting use it to. Not really sure the point of this thread guess mostly a rant. thanks for reading and pray for me that I learn how to control my clubs

Im not sure what your driving problem is, but i was a huge slicer just about a month ago. I found that strengthening my grip and exaggerating my backswing cured my slice and gave me some extra power. I know what you mean though. It sucks so much when you can't even give yourself a chance to par/birdie. What i have been trying to do lately is just make the best possible shot from where i am. Keep a good mindset and i'm sure you'll be breakig 80 with a couple good drives.

LOL I play the same way. Last round I hit 2 greens and 4 fairways and managed an 87 with 27 putts.

Almost all my rounds are like this.

ya i hear both of you. Its just bananas scoring pretty decent and then looking at your stats and just being like wow if only. But im guessing after every round there are what ifs. this game can be so frustrating but maybe thats why its so fun at the same time

But im guessing after every round there are what ifs.

It isn't just you. I'm sure the guys who shot 59s on TOUR have thoughts where that round could have been one or two better.

the only thing that gets me are the putts that slide JUST by or come up one revolution short or things like that.

    • I'm bad about taking pictures, but here are a few Hole 1 on Duke, looking toward the green. The elevated green with bunkers surrounding it was a theme. The other theme was pin placements that were tough - this one is pretty far left. There were basically no easy pins on this day.     Hole 3 at Pine Needles. An extremely cool hole. Hole 5 at Pine Needles. The picture doesn't do the green site justice. Green of 6 at Southern Pines. A wild green, and a really cool setting at the edge of the property: Hole  Tee shot on 5 at Tobacco Road. Flag is on the flag, the huge fairway is to the right. Hole 8 at Tobacco Road. Downhill, medium length par 3 with this pin in the front part of the green. Really cool looking shot. A look at the pin placement and cottage on Tobacco Road 14. I hit one of my best shots of the trip here, to about 15 feet.
    • Yes, but season 2 being all of six episodes is a bit of a let-down, even if the season itself wasn't.
