Keeping your glove dry is easier if you take it off after every shot.  Where you put it is another problem, possibly hanging it under the umbrella or put it in a dry pocket.  On a hot day where my hands sweat some, I always take my club off after every shot, too, generally putting it on a clubhead to keep it dry it between shots; if your clubs are under a good cover, this is also a decent place for it in the rain.  (Taking the glove off between shots is something I do anyhow, to even out the tan if nothing else.)

Not a big fan of golfing in the rain, also hate running in the rain too.  Must be trauma from when I was a kid and played too many football games in the cold rain and mud.
