If you want to just swing fast, just train by swinging faster.  Don't even worry about hitting a ball.  I did this for a while and got my hard swings up to the low 130s a few years back.  Of course when I was playing, I had to hit the ball, so I would throw the club, flip it and do all sorts of other stuff to get the job done.  The net effect was 105-110 max and it felt like all I could manage, even more difficult than my all-time high of 134 (in my twenties mind you).  More than that, the spin on those shots completely sucked so they would max out at maybe 275 carry, with a normal one being around 270.  If you want to play real golf, work on your mechanics.  Then just work on doing it harder and faster.  I've gone through patches recently where I was driving the ball incredibly well.  I remember one the vector launch monitor had where the shot score was 98/100.  Clubhead speed wasn't that impressive, like 107 or so.  Smash factor was perfect and carry was long, over 300.  It wasn't from swinging harder or trying to swing fast, though it was an aggressive swing with a lot of hit.  All I remember about that glorious month is staying centered and getting the arms high, dropping them onto the back of the ball.

Something is wrong with either the gauge or your estimate of distance. At 100 mph, you can't really carry the ball over 250. It's physics. At 95 mph it's 238 yards. The other possibility is that the drive is rolling 60 yards after landing.

To carry 310 requires a minimum speed of 124 mph! To answer the question, at 115, about the farthest you could carry it is 288.

Depends on the elevation, but 100 mph maxes out at around 260 with perfect spin and smash.  Average is probably less than 250 as you say.  For most people, swinging over 100mph is pretty difficult.  For some people, their warmup swings are faster than that.

    • Day 23: chipped in the garage with foam balls. Focused on crisp contact. Did mostly lower chips but mixed in some higher ones. Slightly more open stance, plus ball more toward middle, plus higher handle led to the best results. Need to keep those 3 things in mind.
    • Day 2: Worked on distance wedge swing feels. The feel for me is to keep the upper body down more while straightening the lead leg.
    • Day 18 (September 22).  I understand the two club drill better, and was alternating that and hitting a few smooth 6-iron shots;  indoors, off a mat, into the net.  I spent about 20 minutes on this thus far tonight.
    • I don't know your family or work situation, but have you considered relocating to Arizona?  I was out there the past month or so and played quite a few times;  it's hot, but not humid.   Or, if your house is sufficient size, consider setting up an indoor practice area, so at least when the weather or your schedule isn't cooperating, you can still hit a few. ... said Shindig, who has routinely disappeared for months, sometimes a year or more, at a time because of getting busy at work and just quietly sobs to himself as he walks past the room where his mat and net are during that time.  Dang, I need to not allow that to happen again.
    • Day 21 (22 Sep 25) - long day of meetings, took it easy and did some mirror work this evening….giving my left foot a well deserved break.
