Hello Everyone!

Well, I'm pretty new to playing golf. I always loved mini-putt and going to the driver range when I was younger, but never actually played. Last year I had a set of clubs given to me and I went out to play a 9 hole - now I'm hooked! The set, I found out after playing with them a few times, are juniors and much to small for me (I'm 5'2") so I finally went out and bought myself a nice 7pc ladies set.

Anyways, great forum!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the forum. I loved mini-putt as a kid, I wish I had the foresight to pick up golf based on that :)

lol, I was always pretty good at it, although now I have some trouble on the green! go figure!

One of the longest putts I ever sank (about 20 feet) happened when a friend spoke during my putting. He didn't think I could hear him whispering to another friend, "I picture a windmill when I have a long putt like this one."

I too am new to this forum and have only been playing golf a short time. Does anyone know why I cannot add a signature and cannot start a new thread?

    • Day 233 (22 Dec 24) - Very late afternoon session (after watching the PNC finish - much more entertaining than the Showdown) with the 50deg, hitting nippy low flighted chips.  Really focused on foot position and keeping swing smooth.   As light was fading fast and temps were heading south of freezing, session was pretty abbreviated.
    • Tiger’s walking at the PNC and people say he’s not limping.
    • I haven't heard much of anything about it. Faux leather, sure. Biodegradable leather? No. No idea. You're a bit too new, still, to post links.
    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
