Need help converting from baseball grip to overlap grip!!

Hi.  My handicap is around a 15.  Ive been playing golf for 15 years now and have not improved very much.   I am almost certain it is because of my baseball grip.  I am a righty and when I grip the club, my right wrist is open.(Thumb is offset to the right of center.)  When I swing it appears I am scooping the ball  rather than hitting down on it.  With this grip my 2 most consistant iron shots seem to be a pretty hard draw or a push to the right.  Rarely in the middle where I am aiming.  Ive been trying the overlap grip with my right wrist open slightly and can hit it pretty well with my driver but my irons it always seems to be a push to the right. Any tips on converting from a baseball grip to a real golf grip?  Any tips on a good technique to hit down on the ball?  Thank you for your help.

I still play with a baseball grip (after 30 years) and have tried to switch to both an interlocking and overlapping grip. There really isn't a tip to make it easier to switch except time and a ton of range balls to get the feeling to be somewhat normal. You might try to weaken your current grip (v's in your hands pointing to your buttons on golf shirt) if you don't want to change your grip.

Never had a baseball grip but, started interlocking and switched to overlap.  It took about a week or two for me to change now when I go back it feels like the club is going to fly out of my hands.
