Go see if someone runsa  golf camp, or get a group of guys together who golf. Alot of instructors run discount prices if you do a group instruction.

Go read a few books, i like Jim Mclean, and i have to say Stack and Tilt as well. I would stay away from Hogan, just because he's way to strict on how he hits the club, and most people are not Hogan. He has a few good tidbits, but i wouldn't try to copy him 100%.

Another great youtube golf lessons guy:

This guy puts it into such simple terms. Something I really need as a golfer. I'm already feeling better about my swing, considering a week ago I felt like someone who has never tried the game of golf in his life.

This guys also on You Tube. What he does is analyze video swings of famous players in slow motion. Watch how they get their weight on the  forward leg and take a divot in front of the ball. ( For every other "rule" one of the greats breaks it.)

PS: It's free to watch others swings.

PSS: Take advantage to every thing your school offers. Lessons, discounts, old clubs in the basement - whatever!

I hate that guy ... he's like a vacuum saleman.

Not that there's anything wrong with selling vacuums ...

When I started golf, I started with some old used up golf clubs, woods and irons. I remember that I had bought them from a retired military officer and he was generous enough to give me a discount on the golf clubs and some golf balls. I later moved on to buying good quality clubs like Ultra and V Ram.
