Stricker at -7. Impressive stuff.

A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

I'm so happy, he is such a nice kid!! :)

Rory nearly holes out with his second on the 1st hole. Good start.

That missed putt was no surprise at all, was it? Same old story. Nice par save though.

Yeah, but he's got Tiger breathing down his neck only 14 shots back......

I think they should be happy he is not putting like the US Open, otherwise it would be another US Open... good for the show anyway, but you cannot miss putts like that!!!

I never noticed what happened to Bubba. 4 under to 4 over. Seems like a common trend today.

Did you know that for the first time cameras are allowed at this major?

Stricker is such an amazing player btw, great round!!

(Fowler's drive in the trees at 3rd, Day birdie at 1st)

You can't putt like that if you're planning on being a multiple major winner, no. But it's been his problem from day 1. Strange that it's not really been addressed yet.

    • Day 4 (13 Mar 25) - Easy session today, some work with the 6&7 irons - full swings into the net, followed but bump and runs.  Toss in some pitch work with the Pw with the grandson.
    • Day 34: 3/13/25 Putting through 50 mm gates. Almost a perfect session.
    • Hands go out and roll too much, which is why the backswing has trouble staying short. The short swing is too long. Then, you know what to do from there. Throw it.
    • Day 2 March 13th, 2025 Hit a small bucket checking stuff on video. Mostly back to controlling swing length and right elbow.
    • Video 1 of 2025 Lower body is better. Right knee kicks out less. Left knee straightens better. I don’t have that knee bounce post impact. Backswing and downswing with the arms, needs a bit of work. Nice OTT move there. Video 2 of 2025 - hey I can keep it short.  back to trying to keep the swing shorter and control the right elbow. Lots of half backswing feel and very straight arms. Also trying to start the downswing sooner so the swing doesn’t go on forever with the turn. Got to limit it to 90 degrees shoulder and 45 degrees hips.
