hey guys. im not sure if this is the right place to put this but i am wondering if it would be possible to build something inside a sunroom that i can hit golf balls at safely, like the simulators. thanks!

not meaning to question your dedication but whats the point of this if you cannot actually see where the ball would "end up" you may feel like your hitting an awesome shot but it could be verring off wildly, you cant tell the distance etc etc

i think you would be much better off with an impact bag, this atleast shows you the clubface angle relative to impact, allowing much better judgement of whats going on with your swing

if you want to practice ball stricking at home i would suggest a chipping net, available from most scores

On a side note: you can by driving nets off the internet, golf shops etc, but i personally dont see their advantage other than the potential to groove a crappy swing

well the reason i would have it would be in the winter if there was snow on the ground. im not sure how much snow we are gonna get this year but last year in nyc i got no practice because it snowed like 3 feet everytime it snowed. i might get a driving net tho and use that.

I understand why your doing it, its just my opinion that you could end up grooving a bad swing without knowing it, then get to the range come spring and be like WTF?!? i was hitting awesome sounding shots into me net?!?!?!

perhaps if you combine a impact bag with a driving net?? lesser of two evils then

i could do some research. im probobly gonna just end up practicing my swing without hitting any balls. someone told me that during the winter some of my ranges stalls are heated so maybe ill go once in a while.

yeah research is probably the way forward

just as i say, not point grooving a bad swing, and not being able to see the shot trajectory or distance it could creep in without you even knowing,

are there no indoor ranges near you that you could use?
