We read on and on about how the players prepare for their Masters, what about you, the arm-chair PGA Professional? I have a few old Masters traditions, one is that I always watch the Masters with my dad, at least some of it. This year we'll spend the entire day Saturday watching coverage, then with Sunday being Easter I'll have to do the husbandly duty and go with my wife's family for Easter brunch, don't worry, the DVR is set and I'll be stealing glimpses every chance I get.

Today and tomorrow I'm unfortunately stuck at work, but luckily for me I work in I.T. and have cleared the bulk of my day today and tomorrow so I won't be terribly busy, I will catch several hours of Masters.org coverage of Amen Corner Live as well as other videos they have.

So let's hear some of your Masters traditions, are you going to watch every second of the coverage or will you catch a bit here and there?

You can have the Superbowl....just give me the Masters!

Stuck to the sofa, coldie in hand, occasional jumping up when a European makes a move. God only knows what the neighbours must think!!

It being Easter and all is a huge bonus. I remember back in 1989 when it went to playoff and having to be up for paper round and school in the morning, knackered!! No need to rise early in the morning this time round

It'll involve the couch, beer, pizza, and frequent bathroom breaks... thank the technology gods for the "pause" button on my dvr

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
