I am getting my G15 driver reshafted with ust provorce v2 66g and was wondering if there will be a noticable difference from the stock aldila serrano shaft. I am hoping for a lower trajectory and hopefully i can get some feedback from anyone who has gamed the v2 and noticed a difference. (both good and bad).

absolutely. low torque, low launch. used to game it exclusively. had it in my 907, 906, and the hybrid version in my Adams pro gold's. great shaft. feels like your swinging a stick with something attached to the end of it...... (boardy?) <------ just noticed my avatar pic is my 906 with it in it. lol.

I used the term boardy to describe a hybrid that I picked up for a song and took a chance on with the V2 in a stiff.  Just wasn't a good combination for me although I have a friend that loves it in his driver.  He's a scratch and he hits it high, but he hits everything high.

+1 on this. I made the change to a V2 77g expecting a lower ball flight as well. Was still a high-ish flight till I adjusted my setup position and swing.

  • 8 months later...

I have recently found (2) original Titleist PT woods and 15 degree and a 20 degree. They both ned to be reshafted and I am using the Proforce V2in my 909 driver. Is there any reason that this shaft would not work in these orginal PT woods? I really like the shaft in the driver and I like the dispersion. I am hoping to get the same in the (2) fairway woods, any feedback would be appeciated.

Best regards,

MD916
