I have a practice club I use around the house that I want to regrip it with a grip trainer.

I don't have double-sided tape and I'm being lazy so can I just use a high quality, thick scotch's packing tape

and just double it over?

ie make a "loop" like us old people use to do years ago when they didn't sell double-sided tape.

Thanks

As there would be nothing binding the two slick sides of the tape together, I imagine the grip would slip and slide worse than a real Slip 'n Slide.  The tape would stick to the grip, and to the shaft, but not to each other.

Why not just use air and blow it on.

The other problem you would have would be activating the tape. What you are saying might work in theory, but how would you slide the grip on? Grip tape is unique becuase the glue is deactivated for a time, then goes back to being sticky. I don't think regular tape would go back to being sticky if it was deactivated to slide the grip on. Just go to a golf shop and have them do it for a couple of bucks or see if you can get one piece of tape from them.

    • oops, sorry, was on my phone and didn't grab right info....   Latest Data on COVID-19 Vaccinations by Race/Ethnicity | KFF KFF is collecting and analyzing data on COVID-19 vaccinations by race/ethnicity to gain increased insight who is receiving the vaccine and whether some groups are facing disparities in vaccination.   "As of this week, 75% of the adult population in the United States have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. While this progress represents a marked achievement in vaccinations that has led to steep declines in COVID-19 cases and deaths, vaccination coverage—and the protections provided by it—remains uneven across the country. With the continued spread of the more transmissible Delta variant, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are rising, largely among unvaccinated people. While as of late July 2021, White adults accounted for the largest share (57%) of unvaccinated adults, Black and Hispanic people remain less likely than their White counterparts to have received a vaccine, leaving them at increased risk, particularly as the variant spreads."     https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/us-vaccine-demographics.html
    • Robert Damron has several course records here in Central Florida.  The courses usually have some type of posting as to the course record.  I don't recall any of them being in the mid to low 50's.  Most if I recall are closer to 60.  A lot of our courses can be played long at close to 7000 yards or longer.
    • Makes sense.  Appreciate your insight.
    • I have had a hole in one (par 3), albatross (par 5), eagle, birdie and par.  Just not all in the same round.  I say I have an all time cycle completed.
    • I’ve played 3 Strantz courses. I really liked Tobacco Road and Caledonia, but I played Tot Hill Farm once, and it might be the one course I’ve played that I never want to play again.
