the PRO V1x is a great ball but too expensive for a retired guy although the price is semi-reasonable from Lostgolfballs.com.

The e5 is a good ball with reasonably low spin off the driver and pretty good spin with the irons (good around the greens)

My personal favorite is the NXT tour which is like the e5 but better around the green for me.

My complaint about the e5 and NXT Tour is they don't come in yellow and at my age I don't see white balls very well under some conditions so I just bought some yellow QStars and am hoping it is the "ideal" ball for me.  I'll let you know after I play a few more rounds but so far so good.

OK I told you I'd let you know how it is going with my yellow QStar balls.  So far it is great.  After 4-5 rounds it seems to play as well as the e5 or NXT tour and for me I can actually see it through the entire flight, something I can't do with a white ball.  But it behaves very well around the greens and is as long as the other two balls.  It isn't overpriced so far so I'm gong to stick with these until something changes.
