Hey guys

So the battle continues and the new fault in the swing is losing posture. Have been working on making the swing flatter, was coming over the top before. Losing posture is creeping into my swing and I dont know any drills to stop it haha. I dont think it has been a problem before but it sure is now. Any tips/drills to help fight this problem.

thanks

Do you have any video?  That would be helpful.

Like Tristan said a video of yours would help.  But if you tend to early extend, butt moves towards the ball, head moves back, the right knee usually flexes too much towards the ball.  Try this out. push the hips forward and don't overflex your right knee

I recorded and posted a DTL video of my swing the other day and noticed a couple of issues. @mvmac helped with the first which was that my legs were too straight at address and the result was some forward and back head movement (thanks Mike, your advice worked as always).

The second issue is that I'm "losing" posture and becoming upright before and at impact.

Here's my dilemma...I feel like this is a pretty major correction, meaning it's going to take some time to understand the feel. Am I wrong about this? Has anyone whose had to work on this been able to make even incremental progress in a short period of time?

I know it's important. I am going to work on it immediately because I want to "change the picture". I just don't want to mess up some progress I've made in other areas.

What usually works for me is exaggerating a move. I thought if I brought my hands really low at contact - lower than at address - and also keep my eyes down (where the ball was) a bit after contact, that might help??? I have some time, it's not like the courses will be open this week.

Suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Jon
