a more forgiving setup for tiger

Hey, just wondering why given his reven struggles with accuracy has TW not moved to a more forgiving bag setup? Wouldn't he benefit from having a set of VR Pro Combo's in his bag? I know he's been stubborn with new technology in the past like moving from steel to graphite in his driver and utilizing the big volume drivers, but doesn't it seem like he could get back some of his lost distance and accuracy by taking advantage of equimpent technology?

The problem for Tiger is mostly consistency in his swing. If you look at all his misses, you can trace it mostly back to his swing as with any other tour pros. I'm sure if you look at his club face, the ball strikes dead center every time. The questions is, what direction is the club face pointing?

That would be my rational also. Most of the misses are not the ones I think the cavity backs would help a lot with.

I hope he gets a healthy 6 months of practice with Foley so we can evaluate if the swing changes are working or not. It is hard to remember but his golf at the beginning of the season was decent and there was a reasonable expection that he was shaking some of the rust off he would be competive. Obviously he then missed most of the season with injuries.

He needs to get good practice going, his shots down pat, without going into tournaments bunting it around and fighting two swings because he hasn't fully ingrained the changes yet. Then once he's good. Bring on some tournaments and hopefully by the Masters he will be his old self again.

Tiger is incredibly good at hitting long irons incredibly high at will.  So more forgiving "players cavitiy's" in a 3i, 4i isn't necessary for him as he can hit those clubs high, low, medium left right etc without the extra help.
