This month, with the onset of winter, I have decided to get serious about my swing. For too long now, I have neglected it and my game has gone from bad to worse. I've also taken the wise decision to give S&T; a serious shot, rather than *****foot around the edges. The first step was a My Swing thread, but it became glaringly obvious right from the start that I needed more in-depth assistance.

So upon Erik's advice, I signed up for evolvr and fired off my first videos. Within 24 hours I received my 6-7 minute analysis with audio. Although I wanted the full picture, the idea of evolvr is to work on one thing at a time and only move on to the next once that priority is definitely better. This is the way to improve, not thinking about 5-6 different things at a time. I now have my homework and it is up to me to do it. I have signed up for the monthly plan ($40 a month) which means I get 4 lessons at $10 a pop. A snip!

If you are in two minds about signing up for evolvr, consider it an excellent second option to actually travelling to Erie for a lesson in person. You won't regret it!

Thanks very much for the great testimonial! I just want to note by "full picture" Pharaoh is talking about the analysis going over multiple parts of the swing. We focus on a priority piece, the piece we feel will help fundamental #1, hitting the ball first, the most. We'll illustrate how our recommendation ties into the rest of the swing, but we're not saying to fix P2 do this and at P5 feel this and then change your grip etc. Which is why the lesson plans (4 lessons a month is one example) are designed this way. We might focus on that next piece the next 3-4 times, maybe telling him to exaggerate more or give different feels or sensations.

    • Its way past time both tours  have  major  penalties for  slow  play. I  hate  it when they say" This group is  on the  clock". Big damn deal. Issue  penalties. Maybe Hull is a  bit too harsh but  its time a slew  of  2 stroke  penalties start  being  issued.     Charley Hull is fed up with slow play on the LPGA, so she offered a ‘ruthless’ solution “I’m quite ruthless, but I said, ‘Listen, if you get three bad timings, every time it’s a tee shot penalty; if you have three of them, you lose your Tour card instantly.’ I’m sure that would hurry a lot of people up, and they won’t want to lose their Tour card. That would kill the slow play, but they would never do that.” Who knows if that will work. But if it does not, maybe the PGA Tour should adopt Hull’s idea. The LPGA should, too, or at least assess penalty strokes for slow play. Five-hour rounds for a final group on Sunday is unacceptable and a quick way to lose interest and engagement from fans.

    • A hair under 190. It was pretty downhill, though, so I think we were playing between 180-185 to the pin. My 6 iron went 187 according to shot scope and ended up 18 feet away.
    • That's a tough pin on 14 at TR, had to make the hole play much longer, how far was that shot? I've only played that hole with a front pin.
    • No, but I spent (marginally) less time in the trees at Southern Pines, so it definitely played wider for me 😆. It definitely felt wider.
