How long should i go?

Hello all,

one of the goals i have for next year is improving my swing technically and thus send the ball further.

If you had a ss with the driver of about 97 mph, how far should a ball go in normal conditions with a decent swing, not a pro swing, but a decent swing? No wind, about 20ºC (68ºF), good impact, 3 piece ball (neither distance nor premium ball),...

I believe i should send the ball further right now with my current ss, and it's because of swing flaws i only send the ball about 230 yards (ss of 97 mph).

If you say, the ball should go at leat 250 yards, i know i have some work to do and if i ever reach that distance regularly, my swing will have become better and i will have done a good job. If you say 230 is fine for 97 mph, maybe my swing is not that bad currently and i should focus on other things (flexibility, strength,...).

According to a couple of the trajectory/fitting programs I have on my computer (which should be taken with the grain of salt due to all theoretical constructs), a good hit (1.47 smash factor) and good launch (12 to 13 degrees) should get you about 230 yards carry with a 97 mph swing speed.

Ummmm..... i can add let´s say 10 to 15 yards of roll, which should be my potential gain.
