Hello From Bergen County NJ

Just wanted to introduce myself and connect with other golfers.

My boss invited me to a industry, charitable golf outing at Engineers in Long Island and all it took was a couple nice beginner's luck shots including a nice 30 ft put to get me hooked.

I started out terrible it's been two months now and I have been at the range at least once a week if not more. I have gotten better but still a long way to where I want to be.

I haven't taken lessons yet but I'm going to soon. I bought myself a new set of Pings G10s that I really like a lot. To learn I bought some Calloway drivers at a garage sale. 2 bucks a piece for 2 11 degree loft, pretty old big bertha's and great big bertha. I plan on replacing them as soon as I feel confident enough. Obviously I need a putter, woods and a hybrid maybe I was going to leave it up to you guys to give me some on advice on what else to get.

I have some trouble with the driver I either slice the ball, or when I hit it straight it doesn't go over 200 yards.

The Irons I hit pretty ok especially the 9, 8, 7 and 6. The 5 and 4 I struggle with which is why I would like a hybrid.

Anyways, this looks like a great forum and I look forward to reading more posts learning and maybe even contributing once day.
