I will be playing 3 courses in the Ho Chi Minh area (Song Be Golf Resort, Vietnam Golf & CC, and Long Thanh GC) in early March as part of a 15 golf package to Vietnam & Thailand. We will also play 7 Thai courses in Pattaya and Bangkok areas. Played previously in Thailand in 2001. Will report on Vietnam golf when I return late in March. Might possibly get a round in Japan on the way back as I will be there for 2 nights.

Last month, I was golfing with my buddy and his two pals, both vets from the 60's, and someone remarked on the beat up fairways. One of the guys then brought up a funny war story (he only talks about the lighter moments) about calling in artillery on a French plantation after hearing shots.  Kaboom. Kaboom. Followed by a radio message from the C.O. "What the hell you doing! There's a golf course there!", and when the smoke cleared, there had been a small one.

Vietnam have only 28 Golf Course, 13 Course in North, 4 courses in Central and 14 Course on South. May be you can play golf in Saigon with Long Thanh Golf Resort, Vietnam Golf Country Club or Song Be Golf Resort

    • Day 130: Cinco de Mayo Day 7/24 of Full Speed Spectrum training. Difficult training day after struggling to certify my warmup yesterday, and today. Finished 13 mph lower than my training speed on Thursday. Hope to hit some balls today.
    • Yeah, I think I misread that part. I read "in front of" and kinda skipped the rest.
    • We just completed our winter league (Jan 1 - April 30)  Our scoring was simple.  We used the 18 birdies app.  You get 1 point for every member of the league you beat head to head in an 18 hole round (no handicap).  You also get a point for completing the round.  Therefore 4 members play a round- winner of the round gets 4 points, runner-up gets 3, third gets 2, and last gets 1.  Points accumulate throughout the season.  You can play as many times as you want. Our winner accumulated 110 points while second was 102 and third was 97.  We had a total of 16 members in the league.  No issues whatsoever.  All about fun.
    • I had the D-9's a while back, thought the stock Wilson grips were rubbish.  I put Pure grips on them. Pure is now out of business but available on Golfworks.  Currently some colors in stock as of today. PURE Wrap Golf Grips - The GolfWorks PURE Golf's tackiest grip, the Wrap features a perforated wrap design and is ideal for golfers that prefer a slightly softer, more muted feel at impact.
