Like Ben said (Poser) the informations there for you to try. It's not that big a mystery if you know where to look. In person I could show you in about 15 or 20 minutes. With a week or two's practice you own it !!  So if your interested go and try what I've said so far and have a go at working it out for yourself. Then let me know where your at. As I said to (hogan project) in the new year. It's all about applying these fundamentals to your swing not copying Hogan's. So read what I've said, digest it and try it. You'll know when you've done it right. You'll notice a difference in trajectory,  accuracy and up to 20 yards extra distance. Funny thing too it sounds different. Like Ben said it takes intelligent application.

You said, "It's not that big a mystery if you know where to look. In person I could show you in about 15 or 20 minutes. With a week or two's practice you own it." If I were a potential student of yours, I would say, "well you must have taken the 15 or 20 minutes to show it to yourself, so could you show us what you own."

As a devoted Hogan fan and student, I've adapted his swing keys and theories in Five Lessons and Power Golf to my own swing/game. I love the idea of a chain action swing. However, that's not the "Hogan Secret." Those chain action swing ideas are spelled out in Five Lessons for anyone and everyone to interpret.

The supposed "Hogan Secret" is discussed here: Afternoons with Mr. Hogan Written by Jody Vasquez, who spent years as Mr. Hogan's golf assistant.

All Ben Hogan is saying is, "hit down on the ball".  He just didn't know it yet, becasue i guess when that video was filmed, maybe they didn't use the term hitting down on the ball.

All that "pivot" movement is, is clearing your hips so you can hit down on the ball.  Which IS the only thing agreed among all golf instructors, is that at impact you must hit down on the ball.

The Grip, posture and other things have been argued and specualted among many critics and have been proven right and wrong for different golfers.  But like I said, the only common agreement, is that at impact hit down, and to hit down on the ball you must clear your hips by making this "pivot" movement.

That being said, it is obviously a very important aspect of the golf swing and if you are not doing it, you better start, because odds are you are not the greatest ball striker at the moment, and doing this simple movement will increase your ball striking ability and create a way more consistant golf shot.

The more you clear your hips and also turn your shoulders, the more power you'll get.  Most golfers cannot turn their shoulers or hips as much as they should/could.  And to increase this turn, you have to increase your flexibiltiy.  So i suggest to look up some stretches and/or workouts to do to improve this.
