Hey,

i have the r9 super try driver. Currently it has a fujikura shaft, 10.5 loft and its regular. My swing speed is around 100. i keep hitting the ball right.

I want to get a stiff shaft with less torque. Any recommendations?

Im a 18 handicapper

There can be any number of reasons you hit the ball right. Sorry, but there is no better answer I can give you.  Your say your club head speed is "about 100" ?  Have you had it tested accurately on a monitor?  If it is 100, a stiff flex will be a better fit, but that isn't to say you'll still hit it right either.......

Agree there could be lots of reasons you're hitting it right, but I found when i changed out the stock erg flex in my G15 to an Aldila NV stiff flex - green shaft - I became more consistent. My SS with my driver is normally 95, it's worked out ok. Not an expensive shaft either.

If your swing speed is indeed around 100, then you should be using a stiff flex shaft. The problem will be finding the "stiff flex" that works for you. Unfortunately there is no standard for shaft flex between manufacturers so a stiff Aldila can be different than a stiff Graffaloy, which can be different than a stiff UST. If you have a place that does club fitting, or a golf store that can put you on a launch monitor, that's the best way to go.

I have the same shaft in my driver, Aldila NV stiff. I got fitted for it on a launch monitor. My SS is also right around 100.
