I've researched all the posts on 3 woods & it's difficult to narrow down a frontrunner because there are so many good choices out there today.     Might be easier to eliminate those that really didn't work for people - that I would be interested in hearing.      Let's have the modern 3 woods that you've tried or owned, that never made it to the bag ... thx

I wanted to like the Adams Speedline Fast 11, but the sound and feel was kind of muted when hitting it.  Tried a bunch including Taylormade, Cobra, Callaway, Adams and Titleist.  I ended up going with the Titleist 910F because of the sound and feel at impact and ball flight.

agree - I've owned 4 Adams clubs - liked the A4 hybrids at first, but eventually they were replaced after hitting a bunch of other clubs.

My frequent playing partner plays Adams Driver, and the sound is more like a thud than a sweet whack. I play with a Cobra L4V driver, and the whole golf course knows I am on the course hahaha. I love that sound! It makes my shots look better than they are! Is'nt golf about how good you look? Why else players wear dandy clothes and play expensive brands way above their skill level?

I'm still gaming my Titleist 980F 13* 3W.  I'm finally going to upgrade it this year, but been waiting for the new TaylorMade RBZ TP to hit the stores to try.  Waiting for February 4th is a pain in the rear...

Same here buddy, except mines a 15*. Never hit a 3 wood that i prefered. Traditional shaped head with classic looks!

If you haven't tried the Titleist 910F, then definitely do.  I've never had a 3-wood that I really liked (they've all been adequate, but not excellent).  This one is unbelievable.  I can work it both ways off the tee, and I can easily hit medium-high fades from the turf.  I've never had a fairway wood that I could hit a controlled cut with.  Absolutely love, love, love this club.

FWIW over the years I've had Taylor Made Tour Preferred, Callaway Big Bertha, Nike with that ridiculous tungsten plug thing (that club was wicked long, BTW), and most recently Titleist 980F.
