Just a question here I am not going to go into the whole story, but I had a absolute horrible expierence with a Callaway Representitive.  Long story short it was bad enough to email the higer ups about the situation.  Less than 24 hours later I get a return phone call back from one of the higer ups at Callaway.  He spoke with me for over 30 min. he asked me "what can we do for you to get your business back?"  I havent been in this situation so I paused then he said Ill let you think about it and call you back on Monday.  My question is I am not the person to take free items, but should I say I want something ?  The higher ups are saying they are very upset about the situation I had.  Does Callaway generally do stuff like this?

Callaway is a standup company.  Look what happened with their uPro GPS problem.  They provided new units. Without knowing exactly how you were "wronged", it's impossible to say what would be an agreeable settlement.  For example, if the Callaway rep was just being rude, in your opinion,  it probably won't fly for you to request a new set of clubs and a new golf bag.

When you talk to the guy on Monday, just ask what he would suggest.  Chances are, he will offer you more than you might think, and you won't come off as just a jerk who just wants free stuff.

Thats what I was thinking because I didnt send the letter to try to get something for free. I sent it just so they would know that this one reps. behavior was absolutely unacceptable and just plain unbelievable on two seperate occasions.

You know, I've heard all sorts of things with regards to Callaway.  People sing their praises or, if they are like me, they have bad experiences.   I don't know if I would ask for free stuff because that just runs the price up for the rest of us as they have to pay for it somehow (that is, if everyone were to do that all the time).  But I'm like you in that I like to let them know when someone has screwed up.  When you pay the amount of $$$ we do for equipment, they should be making us happy.  BTW, I don't have any Callaway products in my bag anymore.  Original Big Bertha was the best thing they ever did.

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
