As stated, I just purchased a 43" Project X 6.0 driver (grip to tip).  I probably should have done this before I bought the shaft, but any idea what length my TEE CB3 driver will play to with this shaft length?  I'm hoping around 44.5" to 45".  Any help wiill be appreciated.

Also, any thoughts on the shaft itself is welcome.

Thanks,

Tony

I'm assuming you bought a used shaft? Since most raw shafts are 46", three inches were cut off at some point in the past..  Hopefully, it was butt cut only, to preserve the original tip stiffness, otherwise you have got yourself a really tip stiff shaft.

Anyway, a 43" shaft in most drivers will result in about a 44-44 1/2" driver length. I don't know the specifics of your driver head.

You're right in that the shaft was purchased used as a one time pull but grand new. Seller stated that it was pulled from a Ping i20 driver that played to 45.25" in lenth. I'm just not sure how it compares to my driver.

I think you will have to contact Ping to get the detailed specs for the I20.  You will need to know the distance from where the shaft bottoms out in the neck to the floor, along the shaft line.  Sounds like that distance should be 2.25".

Then you need that same information for your current driver.  If you have already pulled the shaft, you can easily measure it.  If not, you will need to contact Tour Edge.

    • No. If there was a place no closer to the hole that afforded some relief, you could have dropped there. If you were truly as far away from the hole as you could, in the "back" of the bunker, then… your options were basically to play it as it lies (lied? lay?) or take the penalty stroke and drop behind the bunker (keeping the point where the ball was between your drop and the hole).
    • Day 121 - Had a tournament today, not my best. I was hitting everything off the heel.
    • Day 4 (5 May 24) - mirror work focused on “feel of weight” transfer onto lead foot.  Continued work to develop trust in lead foot being able to handle full weight pressure…
    • Ok, so I’m still confused here. Are you saying I could have used the only available Spot in the bunker even though it was 6-7 feet closer to the hole?
    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
