Mi Hyun Kim donates $100,000 to Kansan tornado relief fund. Kim's donation will reach tornado victims via the United Way Greensburg Disaster Fund.

"I never expected to win," the 30-year-old Kim said. "I thought a long hitter would win. Last week was a surprise for me because I am not a long hitter. God gave it to me as a special present. He used me to help those people."

That's a huge gift, just huge. People with resources far exceeding Kim's will donate less, if anything at all. This gift ought to be recognized far and wide, it's an amazingly wonderful and generous gift. I am touched. For a Korean golfer to recognize her debt to the US Tour, and to act in a significant way, is very gratifying.

Everyone should acknowledge her gift in writing, with thanks.

Very awesome of her. I think K.J. Choi did something similar after one of his wins. And I think Jim Thorpe had committed to donate some amount many years back and then won a similar amount the next week.

There is alot of sport/celeb. charity that goes on behind the scenes, we dont get to hear about. So its not unbelievable but admirable. A very nice gesture and kind words from her.
