I must say 5 wood is one of my favorite clubs to hit if I have a nice lie on the fairway or rough for those longer shots. So the 3 driver 460cc head system wouldn't work for me very well. But all the power too you, everyone has their own way of playing!

So why has virtually everyone on this site gone from playing 250 cc drivers to the standard 460? forgiveness and high MOI. So why not continue that advantage onto other clubs?

I would not use a 460cc 5-wood since I'd have to tee the ball up in order to use the club. Hitting driver from the deck is not my cup of tea. 3 wood though? Maybe. I use it primarily off the tee, but it is nice to hit it off the deck too. I don't have problems with my 3-wood today, so I don't know how much it would help with a larger clubhead. I'm more likely to miss the fairway with the driver than the 3-wood.

Hi zeph, sorry I didn't make myself clear. The 3 drivers are tee clubs not fairway woods though the 20 degree driver gets the ball into the air of the fairway I tend not to use it as i've got the specifically designed faiway clubs 4 wood 23 hybrid and 26 hybrid in the bag

To the OP ... check out a Wilson Dominator if you want to see an oversize 3 wood ... never seen anything like that.
