Very interesting program on unconscious thought, conscious thought, what we perceive versus reality and a good section on "the yips" for you guys. Enjoy.

Sounds interesting, but I can’t watch it (I’m in the U.S.). Do you know if there was a radio version of this?

I don't think there was a radio version as much of the program was visual. :(

Bummer for you guys. I think maybe the only way is via a vpn or some type of proxy. There's some stuff on this video that I guess you could try:

Also read somewhere that Tor Browser allows you to watch too but haven't looked into it enough to know for sure.

The video is available for 3 more weeks I believe.

For those in the USA you can watch it by downloading and installing expat shield. The program gives you a UK ip address when running. I just tried it and it works fine. Will watch the entire program this evening.

Very interesting program. Seems the majority of what we do is controlled by the unconscious and that what we think we are aware of is actually a bit of an illusion.

From a learning perspective, it confirms a lot of what I've always believed. To get good at a skill you need to practice it until your subconscious mind can perform the skill and you don't have to think about it consciously. We've all had this experience when learning to drive a car. At first we have to be conscious of everything and have a hard time keeping the car on the road while checking the speedometer to make sure we aren't speeding. Slowly we master the skills and move them into our subconscious so we can do them without thinking about it. This is why after some practice you can drive the car, change the radio station and talk to your passenger all at the same time.

The real issue, imho, is once we master skills so they are subconscious, how do we modify/improve those skills? You see a lot of "self taught" golfers with all sorts of swing issues, the "over the top" move one of the most common. At some point they play/practice enough to have "mastered" this move so they don't have to think about it or their swing. But now that it's ingrained and in the subconscious they have a really hard time trying to change it. The BBC program mentioned n europlasticity and showed some experimental techniques for reprogramming the brain. Maybe in the future we'll be able to wear a headset that improves neuroplasticity while we practice golf making it easier to eliminate bad habits?
