Cure For Club Dents and Nicks

Hello all in the trap.

I recently got new irons, and I have also recently divoreced my first wife. Unlike my first wife, I want to keep my irons for a long time.

I was practicing in an open field, my new skill: shaping a shot around a tree, when I stuck a small rock. I hit the shot good, but I hit a small pebble, that left a small dent in the iron, low and near the hosel. It probably wont effect future shots, but my heart sank when I saw the impression.

Any ideas on how to repair? A file? Small hammer? Its not anywhere near the sweet spot. And I'm only concered about appearance.

Hello all in the trap.

Congratulations on the divorce, you'll find your handicap will drop like crazy. As far as the ding in your club, well I would take it to a club builder and see what he can do for you. Most of the time they can at least make them look better. It will depend on whether or not your irons are cast or forged though.

My guess is... you don't repair it because you really won't be able to.

Liquid Metal???? If you don't know what it is, its essentially a pliable type of metal similar to putty.... You may have a problem getting the right colour though. Not sure how to deal with that unless you use paint and then a protective coat of enamel/lacquer on top. However, that may alter that club's appearance even more!
