Hey guy any advice on my swing would be very helpful.  Its the start of my sending season and I would really like to be able to break 80 by the end of the summer.  Sorry about only having a DTL view.  Ill try and get face on soon.

Thanks! Apo.

hmm I can see that I'm spinning my hips too much.  They are way too open at impact.  I will try and work on rolling the right foot over on the downswing.  Should have video taped my self last season lol

Couple of things. One is your camera is not in the right position down the line. It is too far behind you. There is a post on this somewhere. Second is you should let us know the miss you have now that you want to avoid. The shot you hate. I suggest investing in a better camera to help you monitor your progress. Just a suggestion though.

First things first. 1: Follow the link someone posted about filming your swing. A correct setup makes it a whole lot easier. And get face on. 2: Film your iron swing too. 3: Post a bit about your game and what you struggle with. Left, right, high, low, thin, fat etc.

    • Day 2 March 13th, 2025 Hit a small bucket checking stuff on video. Mostly back to controlling swing length and right elbow.
    • Video 1 of 2025 Lower body is better. Right knee kicks out less. Left knee straightens better. I don’t have that knee bounce post impact. Backswing and downswing with the arms, needs a bit of work. Nice OTT move there. Video 2 of 2025 - hey I can keep it short.  back to trying to keep the swing shorter and control the right elbow. Lots of half backswing feel and very straight arms. Also trying to start the downswing sooner so the swing doesn’t go on forever with the turn. Got to limit it to 90 degrees shoulder and 45 degrees hips.
    • Day 236: did a stack session.
    • Day 164 - 2025-03-13 Got the new QuadMAX. Didn't get a chance to test it, but got to Golf Evolution about 45 minutes before lessons, so I did some backswing and downswing work in.
    • @klineka has already addressed this stuff, but as I said in my first answer… distance control is typically more important. Knowing exactly how far a ball will carry is huge.
