I think you knew what I meant though ... if they want to remind you everytime what clubs inspired their knock-offs, or perhaps they even want to claim that they performed as well as the real deals, that's fine (even if it got annoying).  But they were not tricked into paying the same amount of money as the originals all the while thinking they actually were the originals, as is the case for counterfeits.

Side note:  What happened to your old avatar?  As nice as your swing is, even in freeze frame, I gotta say I prefer the old one.

You can still get it on my profile page. I just changed it again to a golfer who's apparently one of several who are knocking on death's door due to being morbidly obese.

That should make some previous "thumbs up" comments look a little weird.

His new reality show is titled "The Almost 200 Pound Man". (5' 11" 195lb as per the pgatour.com media guide).

Anyway, yes counterfeit clubs are bad. Knocks are not nearly as bad, but I personally don't care for them.

Yeah, I didn't think anything was wrong with owning them (knock offs) when I was younger.  Partially because I didn't know any better and partially because I felt I could justify it in the same way I used to justify "stealing" songs off Napster.  (I was never going to buy it so I wasn't actually costing anybody money)  Now I don't want or need them, and would feel guilty.

Any update on these clubs.  Are they still up for bidding or has Ebay addressed the issue?

Wow it's up to $830 now. And he is also selling TM RS11S. I looked and can't tell if they are fake or not though.

3hrs left and ebay has not shut it down. This is what I was afraid of.

Why would ebay shut it down? You telling them the irons are fake is not going to remotely make them shut it down. Now if Titleist inquires and says they are fake ebay would pull the auction but outside of that the auction will stay up. The winner will get the clubs hopefully have them checked and if they are fake they can dispute the purchase.

The best way to ensure no unsuspecting golfer buys those fakes it to buy them yourself and then destroy them - you're doing a very noble thing by purchasing those irons. Kudos!!
