Ok, I'm on the fence here. I'm planning a 3/4 day golf trip at the end of June and I don't know if I should book Scottsdale or Myrtle Beach. I know, poor me...

I've been to Scottsdale 4 times to play golf and I LOVE IT! You are pretty much gauranteed sunshine and heat. However, I've never been to Myrtle Beach and would like to experience it. The thing I'm hesitant about is the weather. I live in the Northeast and with all the rain we've had lately, if I book a trip, and it rains only 1 day I'll be PISSED!!! :) I want to play 7 rounds in 3/4 days, so I need SUN!!!

So, anyone ever visit MB end of June? What's the weather like? I know we can't predict anything (neither can our weatherpeople!!!)...so I'm just looking for anyone's opinion on MB during that time of year...

I'm planning my trip at this time because golf is really cheap (at least in AZ) and I love the heat...really...I LOVE the heat!! :)

Thanks!

I'd take Scottsdale for 2 reasons: (1) the weather factor; virtually no chance of rain and definitely no chance for a hurricane to come through and (2) I'm very partial to desert courses, love 'em.

I know you said you really love the heat, but are you sure you know what you're getting into with Scottsdale in June? Have you been to the desert in the summer? You better hope those tee times are early, because the sun is relentless.

Don't get me wrong, the golf will be excellent, it will be cheap, and there will be plenty of sun. However, I would still go with Myrtle. It won't be as hot, and you will have the beach too.

Just my two cents...but what do I know, I'm moving to Phoenix in the middle of the summer.

Oh yeah, I know what I'm getting into. I've been to Scottsdale the last four years in a row in late June early July. I play 36 holes a day...in the 110 degree heat. I LOVE IT!!

Ha, yeah, that's what they said about LAST year!! I don't think there was one hurricane that hit the states...

Hydration is the key to playing in the heat...and not just water - gatorade or powerade is key.

I have played Myrtle Beach in May and it was in the mid to high 70's the whole time, got up into the 80's on some days, so I think you can bank on good weather for June...

I have never been to Scottsdale so I can't say anything about it but I know that Myrtle Beach is awesome! The golf is endless and the green fees at most courses are very reasonable... Plus there is a lot to do after your round, nice beach, etc...

MB = high 80's / low 90's with humidity, but you will have a nice breeze off the water all day and night.
Scottsdale you know the deal there.

MB will most likely have a afternoon thunderstorm, but otherwise rain shouldn't be an issue.
Scottsdale = It's the desert, small chance of anything wet.

MB has lots of bars, shopping, eating, plus the beach. Never played golf at either but you'll trip over all the golf courses. My pick would be MB.
